Christmas 2015 Family fun (events)

The season of Merry and Bright and #merrycyndichristmas. This year Cyndi decided instead of a group outing with all 5 nieces and nephews that we would do individual events.

Boston Brass at the Newman Center = With c#2 and wife This was a fun event with C#2 and Wife because we don’t get to see these two busy professionals regularly so it was a treat to enjoy some amazing music and fun stories from the band.

The Nutcracker with C#4 and SO. They were unable to make it. This ballet is a particular favorite of ours. We (like many music lovers) know all the songs and enjoy the sugarplum “momma’s” dance. Hilarious. We attended this event with client/friends of Cyndi’s. They are a fun couple and really enjoyed the show.

The Santa land Diaries with C#3. C#3 did not know what to think of this one-man show. It was awkward and he picked up on that. I really enjoyed the show and loved the awkwardness. They gave us name tags to wear as if we were elves in the show. I was Yuletide, C#3 was Nutcracker and Cyndi was Noel. So cute.

A Christmas Carol with C#5 and SO This was the last Ebenezer Scrooge performance by Philip Pleasants, he has played Scrooge for DCPA since 2005, but played the role in other theatres over the years. We are so glad we got to see him one last time bring Scrooge to life. C#5’s SO really enjoyed the performance he hadn’t been to the DCPA before.

A Christmas Story the Musical with C#1 My favorite Christmas movie come to life. Yay. Best dance number was the dad’s “Major award”. Ahhh and the dream sequence that Ralphie has about all the things he can do with his Red Rider bb gun. This piece made me wonder if my little nephews (now 8) had dreams like this. HOW FUN. However, the best part of the night was when C#1 couldn’t stop laughing at the dads Major Award dance number. Poor C#1 gasping for breath, while laughing. Such fun!

Movie nights- We had several movie nights and Cyndi’s sister and C#1 came to enjoy some movies with us. We watched.. Olive the other Reindeer, White Christmas, A Christmas Story and ELF.

The fun isn’t over. We still have one more outing. We will be tubing . Cyndi loves to make the Christmas calendar full. It was for sure this year. So much fun.

The Christmas season is almost over and in review. I really enjoyed having the 1 to 1 time with Cyndi's crew. I wonder what next year will hold. Spoiler- blog coming soon! :)
